Óscar Pérez obtained his B.Sc. degree in Physics at the University of Salamanca, where he also completed his Master’s degree in Physics and Technology of Lasers. He then moved to Madrid to start his PhD in Physics within the Optics department at Complutense University. His work during his PhD studies focused on nonlinear optics in nanosystems and their application to the characterization of ultrashort laser pulses. He obtained his PhD in March 2024 and continued as a postdoctoral researcher at Complutense University until April 2025. Óscar joined the USQM group at IMDEA Nanociencia as a postdoctoral fellow in May 2025.
